Your child's GP can develop a Chronic Condition Management Plan if they meet eligibility criteria.
With this plan, your child can access 5 partially rebated sessions across 12 months with an eligible allied health professional.
This means 5 sessions in total per year between all allied health services/ providers you choose to use this plan with.
The Medicare rebate per session is $61.80. Please note that there is a gap fee. If you have private health insurance, the gap fee cannot be claimed in addition to receiving the Medicare rebate.

Your child's GP, Paediatrician, Psychiatrist, or other eligible specialist can refer them to access services under this item group if they meet eligibility criteria.

These sessions are a lifetime limit per child (up to the age of 25) and are shared across all eligible allied health services your child accesses under this plan.
The Medicare rebate per session is $87.25, with a gap fee payable. If you have private health insurance, the gap fee cannot be claimed in addition to receiving the Medicare rebate.

Depending on your insurance provider and level of extras cover, you may be eligible to receive a rebate for your child's Speech Pathology session.
The rebate amount will be dependent on your level of cover.
